Galleries: (choose from the list)

On the 3rd May 2000, 85101 finally left Crewe, some eighteen months after the other three locomotives. Its departure meant that, for the first time since 1960, Crewe was completely devoid of early AC electrics.

The 3rd May 2000 was the date that 85101 finally left Crewe for Barrow Hill. It was loaded up at Crewe Heritage Centre.

85101 is slowly winched aboard the transport lorry for its move to Barrow Hill.

85101 departs from The Railway Age, passing a more modern but equally preserved example of WCML traction, in the form of the APT-P.
