2000 Old Oak Common Open Days - 5/6 August 2000

Galleries: (choose from the list)

Old Oak Common depot held an open weekend on 5th/6th October 2000. With Virgin's partial sponsorship of E3035's repaint, the loco journeyed down to London for display alongside one of their new "Pendolino" driving cars.

E3035 (83012) makes a fine sight on show at Old Oak Common.

The repaint of E3035 was sponsored in part by Virgin Trains to mark the launch of their new WCML stock; for the event a new Pendolino bodyshell was unveiled close by the 83.

An unusual visitor was Irish "C" class C231, seen beyond E3035 (83012).

Other heritage AC traction on site included the sole-surviving Class 306, number 306017.
