In the centre distance, steam locomotive 46233 has arrived in platform 12 at Crewe with the Railway Touring Company's "Cumbrian Mountain Express" charter train, Carlisle to London Euston; 46233 is about to be detached from the train. It will be replaced by Les Ross's electric locomotive 86259, to the left, which is standing in platform 8 ready to be shunted across to platform 12. To the right, 86101 is dead on rear of 5Z88, the empty coaches for 1Z88, the 21:00 Liverpool Lime Street to London Euston football charter. 86101 will work 1Z88 throughout.
